In 2 Corinthians 11:4, the Apostle Paul reproves the church, saying, “For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.” Similarly, he rebuked the Galatians, calling them foolish (literally, “stupid”) for even considering another Gospel. Keep in mind, that these are just a sampling of passages dealing with false teachers. The Gospels are replete with such warnings, and many New Testament books are entirely dedicated to the subject.
