New Apostolic Reformation (NAR)

(ALSO SEE: THE DEITY OF CHRIST)

The Word of Faith (WoF) doctrine and that of its sister movement, NAR, is just as heretical and demonic as that of Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and Christian Science adherents. These people either deny the Trinity outright, deny the eternal, pre-existence of Christ, or assert that Christ emptied Himself of His deity while on earth.

This is a summary of their doctrine:

  1. Adam was an exact duplicate of God.
  2. Adam sinned, lost his deity, and transferred it to Satan.
  3. God has been kicked off this planet, that is, from exercising power on earth.
  4. Satan is the legal god of planet Earth.
  5. When a person gets saved, they get their deity back. Keep in mind that a god cannot be poor or sick.
  6. So, we can speak things into existence because we were reproduced according to the “kind” (image of God) of the Godhead. We are “little gods.”
  7. *WoF teachers, by definition, deny that Jesus was preincarnate God, and they say He was just a man who became God at His baptism (e.g., Victoria Osteen). Others, such as Joyce Meyer, say that Jesus ceased to be the Son of God on the Cross. Bill Johnson said that Jesus became “born again” at His resurrection.
  8. *Jesus was born again after he died spiritually (key point here) in Hell, as well as physically on the Cross.

*Points #7 & 8 are taken from the Reformed Apologetics Ministries video on YouTube.
