Issues of Salvation - Click Here

In these programs, we will first examine how man’s nature became corrupted through sin. Then we will learn about God’s subsequent condemnation of all mankind to eternal death and His gracious provision of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ. We will find out why guilt is so toxic to our Christian walk, how to know if we’ve truly been saved, what grace is, why we are unable to contribute to our salvation by works of merit, and why & how true believers will be held eternally secure by God’s power.

Issues of Spiritual Growth - Click Here

In 2 Cor. 13, the Apostle Paul says, “Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith.” Moreover, in Matthew 7:20, our Lord Jesus Christ says, “By their fruits, you shall know them.” In these programs, we will learn to examine the fruits of our sanctification (practical spiritual growth). Most importantly, we will learn that all of these fruits originate from the Spirit’s work of regeneration through the Word. As Jesus said, “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth” (John 17:17). We will see how the Word causes what it commands by creating our desire to obey His Word and helping us grow in the knowledge of God.

In these messages, Pastor Jim will teach us that the only way we can triumph in the Christian life is through the renewal of our minds by the power of the Holy Spirit. But the first step of this renewal begins with our refusal to be conformed to this world (Romans 12:1-2). We will further discover that the Holy Spirit empowers us to do this because God has given us everything necessary for life and godliness, as 2 Peter 1:3-4 says:

“. . . seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.”

Thus, we are empowered to overcome any sin with His help. “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Phil. 4:13).

In the Scriptures, God has given us instructions about how to live out our Christian faith “in the trenches,” so to speak, in the various relationships we have with others. These programs will help us with relationships with our spouse, children, friends, employer/employees and government.

We know from Jesus’ words in Matthew 22:35-40 (below) and 1 John 4:20 that how we treat others directly reflects our love for God.

“One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, 36“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37And He said to him, “ ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ 38“This is the great and foremost commandment. 39“The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ 40“On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
